Serbia is a landlocked country in Southeast Europe spanning over 88,000 square kilometers (about 34,000 square miles) with roughly 7.5 million inhabitants. Especially around Novi Sad, you’ll find vast expanses of farmland—endless fields of grain, corn, and sunflowers, alongside small-scale, traditionally managed plots.

This diverse landscape offers ideal cover and habitat for abundant upland game. It’s a truly impressive scene: endless fields, virtually untouched by roads or traffic, creating the feel of untamed nature.

For upland hunters and wingshooters, it's a genuine paradise reminiscent of the golden age of European driven game hunts—a region that combines rich game populations with stunning, unspoiled scenery to delight any passionate hunter.

Style of Hunt

Quail are hunted on foot with pointers, in small groups of 3–6 hunters.

At dawn, you’ll work these expansive fields, guided by highly trained pointing dogs. This style of hunting demands sharp shooting skills and focus: quail are small, fast, and agile targets.

Hunts typically wrap up around 11 AM. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch and a relaxing midday break—perhaps by the private pool at the lodge.

Around 3 PM, the afternoon continues with dove hunting over the sunflower fields.

Recommended Gear

  • Light, breathable clothing (temperatures are hot in September)

  • Well-broken-in, lightweight shoes or boots

  • We recommend a light shotgun with shot sizes:

    • 1.7 mm–1.9 mm (approx. US #8 or #9) for quail

    • 2.8–3.0 mm (approx. US #5 or #6) for doves

Bag expectations:
Average shooters can expect around 20 birds per day, while skilled shots often take significantly more.

Accommodations

You’ll stay in a well-appointed hunting lodge with a private outdoor pool, located conveniently close to the hunting grounds.

Each guest room features a private en-suite bathroom for maximum comfort.

Serbia Quail Hunting Package: USD 2600,-

  • SLOT 1: September 14–21, 2025

  • SLOT 2: September 21–28, 2025

Not Included

  • Firearm and ammunition import documentation + border assistance (€50)

  • Travel to Serbia (complimentary pick-up at the Hungarian-Serbian border with escort to the lodge; alternative airport pickup in Belgrade available for an extra fee)

  • Tips and personal expenses

  • Ammunition and rental shotguns available on-site (€25/day per gun)

  • Serbian hunting liability insurance (~€40 if you don’t hold a local hunting license)

A USD 500,- deposit is required to secure your reservation.

The remaining balance can be paid before arrival or on-site in Serbia.
